Misson

The mission of this club is to aid civic and charitable work, promote
education, interest, activity and community spirit among it's members.
In 1913 Mrs. L.A.. Calder organizd the Orangevale Woman's Club as the "Country Life Club". During the early years the women pursued their goals of economy in the home.

The Orangevale Woman’s Club is a member of The General Federation of Woman’s Clubs of America. We are part of the Sutter District of California.

What is the GFWC?

The General Federation of Women's Clubs is an international organization dedicated to communiy improvement by enhancing the lives of others through community service. The Sutter District is a member of the Northern California are of GFWC clubs that spans from Stockton up to Shasta in California.

Currently we have clubs with regular monthly meetings in Roseville, East Sacramento, North Sacramento, Citrus Heights, Placer Foothills, Auburn, Antelope, Orangevale and Clear Lake.

The GFWC motto is "Unity in Diversity" and our Sutter District Clubs strive to put this motto into action. Our club members come from all walks of life. We embrace all ages, races, and orientations. Our members are working moms, retirees, and so much more.

Today the club is still serving our community working on projects in Arts, Home Life, Education, Conservation, Public Affairs and International Affairs.

The Orangevale Woman’s Club is currently looking for more ladies from the Orangevale, Folsom, and Fair Oaks area who wish to join.

Ladies, are you interested in meeting new people and learning new craft skills?  Then join us each month as members lead various arts and crafts activities.  Coffee and tea will be provided.   A craft will be demonstrated.  Bring a snack or lunch.  $5.00 materials fee due to instructor at the beginning of class.  Call: (916) 988-4373 for class themes.

Visitors are always welcome, so bring a friend and come join us for a free lunch and learn a little bit about our awesome organization!
